Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites operated by CMEN (“CMEN,” “we,” “us,” “our”), including www.cmen.org and springregistration.cmen.org (collectively, the “Services”), and your participation in CMEN events. By accessing the Services, registering for an event, or attending a CMEN event, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register or attend.

  1. About CMEN
CMEN is a private men’s naturist social and recreational association, operated as a sole proprietorship in Los Angeles County, California. We organize seasonal gatherings at private campgrounds and rented venues. Membership is informal and association-based; we do not
maintain a registered membership database, and registration for a specific event does not constitute ongoing membership rights.
  2. Eligibility
You must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to register for or attend a CMEN event. By registering, you affirm that you meet this age requirement and will present government-issued photo
identification at event check-in if requested. CMEN events are exclusively for adult men. No person under twenty-one (21) years of age is permitted at the event venue during CMEN event hours, including arrival, setup, and departure periods. CMEN reserves the right to verify eligibility and to decline registration or revoke admission at our discretion, with refund eligibility per the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  3. Nature of CMEN Events
CMEN events are clothing-optional environments held at private venues. By registering, you acknowledge and accept that other attendees may be partially or fully unclothed during the event, in
keeping with established naturist recreational practice. Attendance constitutes informed consent to this environment. CMEN events include scheduled recreational, social, and community programming. Additional programming details specific to each event are provided to registered attendees by email following registration, and are not published on the public website. Some programming is reserved for registered adult attendees and is communicated by email after registration. You agree to abide by our Code of Conduct at all times during CMEN events. Violations may result in removal from the event without refund.
  4. Registration, Payment, and Pricing
All event registrations require deposit payment at time of booking. Ticket prices are listed in US dollars. Payment processing is handled by a third-party PCI-compliant payment provider. CMEN does not store your full card number on our servers. Your card statement will reflect the charge as CMEN EVENT TICKETS.
Cancellation and refund eligibility is governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Assumption of Risk Recreational activity at CMEN events — including swimming, hiking, hot tub use, social gatherings, and other outdoor and indoor
recreation — involves inherent risks. By registering for and attending a CMEN event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to: bodily injury, illness (including transmissible illness), property loss, exposure to weather and outdoor conditions, and the conduct of other attendees. You agree that CMEN, the venue operators, and CMEN’s volunteers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage you may sustain at or in connection with a CMEN event, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  5. Photography and Recording
Photography, video recording, and audio recording by attendees at CMEN events is strictly prohibited unless specifically authorized by CMEN organizers AND by the express prior consent of every individual appearing in any image or recording. Violation of this rule is grounds for immediate ejection without refund and may result in permanent exclusion from future CMEN events. CMEN may, with consent, produce official photography for community documentation purposes. Attendees will have the opportunity to opt out.
  6. Code of Conduct
You agree to abide by our Code of Conduct,
which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Code
addresses consent, harassment, substance use, photography,
    confidentiality, and other behavioral expectations.
  7. Intellectual Property
The CMEN name, logos, event programming materials, and website
content are the property of CMEN. You may not
reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written
    permission.
  8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services and CMEN events are provided “as is” and “as
available.” CMEN disclaims all warranties, express or implied,
including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by
    law.
  9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CMEN’s total cumulative
liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the
Services, your registration, or your attendance at a CMEN event
shall not exceed the amount you paid CMEN in the twelve (12)
    months preceding the claim.
In no event shall CMEN be liable for any indirect, incidental,
consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including
lost profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
  10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CMEN, its
volunteers, and its agents from any third-party claim, liability,
loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorney’s
fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your
violation of the Code of Conduct, (c) your conduct at a CMEN event,
or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right. This
indemnity does not extend to any claim to the extent caused by
CMEN’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  11. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Pre-Dispute Contact Requested. Before initiating a dispute with
your card issuer, we ask that you first contact CMEN at
refunds@cmen.org so that we have an opportunity to address your
concern. We will respond to legitimate complaints within fourteen
    (14) days. Resolution attempts under this section do not limit any
rights you may have under applicable card-network rules or law.
Binding Arbitration. Any dispute arising from or relating to
these Terms or your relationship with CMEN that cannot be resolved
through direct contact shall be resolved by binding individual
arbitration administered by JAMS in Los Angeles County, California,
under JAMS’s Streamlined Arbitration Rules then in effect. The
arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding.
Class Action Waiver. You agree to resolve disputes with CMEN
on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in
a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding
    against CMEN.
Small Claims Exception. Either party may bring an individual
action in small claims court for disputes within that court’s
jurisdiction, without first proceeding to arbitration.
  12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California,
without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The exclusive
venue for any non-arbitrable dispute is the state and federal
courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
  13. Modifications
CMEN may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective
Date” above will reflect the most recent revision. Material
changes will be communicated by email to registered attendees of
upcoming events. Continued use of the Services or attendance at a
CMEN event after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance.
  14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the
remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
  15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Refund and Cancellation Policy,
the Privacy Policy, and the Code of Conduct,
constitute the entire agreement between you and CMEN regarding the
    Services and your event attendance.
