SoCal West Coast Gathering 2026 Social & Evening Themes
Among the highlights of each day at the West Coast Gatherings are the late afternoon social hour parties and evening events.
Just for fun, the social hour parties and evening events have a different theme each day. While nudity is still the overall rule, gathering attendees are encouraged (but not required) to wear accessories that correspond to the theme for the social hour and evening.
Social hour “costumes” can range from a simple cap or hat to the outlandish.
Suggestions for themes for CMEN’s West Coast Gathering 2026 were proposed by past Gathering participants. These suggested themes were reviewed and after months of deliberation the final themes were selected:
Friday, August 14 Tickled Pink: Why wait for your Pink Slip… the Fuchsia is Now! Will Miss Piggy show up in her shocking pink poodle skirt eating cotton candy? Or will it be the Pink Panther chewing pink bubble gum? Pink Flamingos wearing rose-colored glasses? Or a Pink Elephant in a Pink Cadillac sipping pink champagne on ice? This afternoon, everything is Code Pink.
Saturday, August 15 – Hawaiian Adventure: The romance, music and foods from the Pacific Island state will transport our fantasies to a tropical paradise. A beckoning drum and a faint Pacific Ocean breeze will add to the Hawaiian ambiance. Come natively naked or wear a grass skirt. Feeling piggie? Come as the luau pig! …and make sure you get lei’d at least once this afternoon! Hula anyone?
Sunday, August 16 – Genital Hospital: Ever wanted to play doctor or nurse? Now is the time! Take the Hippocratic Oath and dress in scrubs today with a stethoscope dangling from your nether regions! Have patients with your outfit… a lab coat, a red cross… anything you’d see at your favorite clinic. Who will it be… Florence Nightingale, Clara Barton, or Julia? How about Jonas Salk, Dr. Kildare, or Dr. McCoy from Star Trek? You might as well be Marcus Welby. Or would a M.A.S.H. character be more your suit? Think Grey’s Anatomy, St. Elsewhere or Doogie Howser. Or could you relate more to Nurse Ratched from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest?” Dominant doctors, nelly nurses, and crazy patients unite! The highlight of the evening will be the Mr. CMEN contest.
Monday, August 17 – Purple Daze: In a haze on what to wear? Go Royal. Go Professor Plum. Wear violet. Drink cabernet sauvignon! Time to break out that amethyst jewelry, or get creative with a few eggplants! Finally a time to don that Purple Hat. Get passionate with anything between crimson and blue… and let it RAIN PURPLE!
Tuesday, August 18 – Mardi Gras: It’s Carnival time, boys! Calling all jesters, harlequins and heck, anyone wearing a peacock feather! Don your beads, masks and skimpy outfits and let’s show New Orleans (and Rio!) how to put on a party! It’s Fat Tuesday and Ass Wednesday is just around the corner so wear anything green, purple or gold! Anyone for King Cake?
Wednesday, August 19 – Ride ’em Cowboy: When Horace Greeley coined the phrase “go west young man,” he could never have imagined how things would change… Do you imagine yourself riding the open prairie, workin’ on a railroad or in a boom town saloon? Who is your favorite folk hero? What is your favorite western movie? Throw on your hat, boots, and other accessories this evening pardner. Country barbecue and country dancing are among the planned activities.
Thursday, August 20 – Leathermen in the Mountains: Do the pheromones of a man in leather whip you into an orgasmic frenzy? If the answer is “Yes Sir!” then tonight is your night to get intoxicated because the masculine aroma of men in black leather fills the air. Polish your motorcycle boots, muscle into your armbands, tighten your harness, and unsnap your jockstrap. It’s time to wear your favorite leather and chain accessories, and be prepared to smell, lick, whip, suck, fuck, and cum. Attend a Leather Workshop at the Dungeon throughout the day and enjoy the Mr. CMEN Leather Contest scheduled this evening.
Friday, August 21 – Queen for a Day: Dress to sparkle and shimmer this afternoon. Perhaps you’ll find paradise in a glorious ensemble, in a totally silly frock, or in the man wearing one… Who will win our hearts? Cleopatra? The Queen of Hearts? Disney’s Ice Queen? Everyone’s a Queen this afternoon whether you’re wearing a tiara, a crown or just wish you had the nerve! How about emulating a REAL queen like Elton or Liberace?! The highlight of the evening will be the Miss CMEN Queen contest, hosted by none-other than the sultry, yet saucy: Miss Ida Ho! Who will win the CMEN equivalent of the Academy Awards?
Saturday, August 22 – Powder Blues: Feeling a little bit blue? Don’t be sad, azure not alone! Time to don your favorite powder blue cap or hat, powder blue sandals or other powder blue accessories this evening. No need for anything as fancy as powder blue suede shoes… How about your powder blue dress blues… or your hospital scrubs today?
